Yoriko Yasuzumi is a playable character in the Arcana Heart series. She is a shy girl who is a bit of a bookworm and is obsessed with the occult. She is currently in a permanent contract with the self-proclaimed demon lord, Michelangelo, because of a prank by her best friend, Lilica.

Her Arcana is Dieu Mort, the Arcana of Evil.

Bio

Obsessed with the occult, Yoriko is a shy and bookish girl who incidentally summoned the self-proclaimed demon king, Mike, after her friend, Lilica, tried to pull a harmless prank. Unable to separate from her new friend, Yoriko spends her time observing the strange activities around Japan - where she is often dragged into chaotic situations due to Mike's fits of anger or attitude.

Appearance

Yoriko is a fair-pale skinned girl with big pale brown eyes behind a pair of red, rectangle glasses. She has very long, carp-pink hair worn in a thick braid at the bottom of her head held by a red scrunchie. She wears a big purple witch hat on top of her head.

Yoriko wears a version of the school uniform, modified to fit her interests. This includes a pale yellow knit sweater and short, light orange pleated skirt. She wears a pair of baggy, black boots with pointed toe and a long flowing purple cape with hands on the end of them to help her fight or do tasks. The inside of the cape is mauve while a white shawl is on the top of her shoulders. At the center of it is a big, dark purple sphere.

Personality

At first glance, Yoriko appears to a very shy and quiet girl who keeps to herself. She loves to read and appears timid, but it also very kind and friendly. She may tease others gently, or not realize she is saying too much about something until someone else points it out. She can be quite chatty when it comes to her passion - the Occult.

Very dedicated, anything that may be the slightest bit magical or mysterious catches her attention. She is pretty smart, but at the same time may come off as air-headed or sensitive. She is also easily pressured into things by her best friend, Lilica, and the demon, Mike, that she summoned. But she loves them both a lot and would do anything to make them happy or please them.

Story

Arcana Heart

One evening, Yoriko and Lilica made an attempt to summon a demon servant for Yoriko. Inspiration make to Heart Aino, everything fight over fallen thing Yoriko and Heart continuum knock them. But when nerves got the best of her, Yoriko ran off to the restroom to calm down by splashing water on her face. In the process, Lilica got the brilliant idea to play a prank on her friend and re-drew the design they put onto the ground, causing them to summon Mike, instead.

Yoriko could care less about the special rumors involving the Celestial Stones. She simply set out to find them in hopes of finding their value as Strange Magical Items.

Etymology

• The name Yoriko means "rely" (頼) (yori) and "child" (子) (ko).
• Yoriko's surname Yasuzumi means "peace, quiet" (安) (yasu) and "nest, rookery, hive, cobweb, den" (栖) (zumi).

• Her official residence is Koenji, Suginami.
• Originally, her worst subject was Math.
• Yoriko loves cats.
• She can often be found in the School Library and has basically taken over it, making herself a member of the Library Committee.
• She gets an allowance, but it's often get spent on Mike.
• Her measurement is actually 84cm/59cm/89cm (as seen in Suggoi! Arcana Heart 2).
• Some alternate color swaps give her a resemblance to Lambda-11 from BlazBlue.
