Phenex is one of the selectable Arcanas in the Arcana Heart series. It's the Arcana of Tone (Sound in English version) and its user is Akane Inuwaka.

History

Phenex is said to be the source of people's love for music. It is a meta-being that can manipulate all sound. Its voice can raise the heavens or bring destruction to the world. Phenex was charmed by Akane's singing voice and now lends its power to her whenever she needs it.

Gameplay

Passive Abilities

• Unisonus - E or ↓ + E (chargeable) - Fully charging a grounded E attack will create a [Canon] at the location.

Specials

• Canon - ↓↘→ + E (midair also) - Summon a [Canon]. It will react yo other arcana special attacks and resonate.
• Accentus - →↙→ + E (midair also) - Create an explosion of sound around yourself to attack nearby opponents.
• Echo - ↓↙← + E (midair also) - Fire a sound shockwave that can bounce off of the sides of the screen.

Supers

• Vivo - →←↙↓↘→ + E (midair also) - Create a huge explosion of sound around yourself to attack nearby opponents.
• Cantilena - ↓↘→↓↘→ + E, then A, B or C (midair also) - Summon 3 [Canon]. The position and pattern depends on what button was pressed after input.
• Tacet - ↓↙←↓↙← + E - Use the power of Phenex to nullify projectiles on screen. Effective against most attacks.

Extend Force

• Ars Antiqua - ABC - During [Ars Antiqua], normal attacks also summon Canon when they hit.

Arcana Blaze

• Ad Livtum - During [Ars Antiqua], ↓↙← + BC - Launch multiple shockwaves. They will continue for a period of time or if another attack is made.
• Alleluja - During [Ars Antiqua], ↓↘→ + ABC - Summon Phenex, who will attack opponents with a gigantic sound shockwave.
