Koito and Kouta Kasuga are NPCs in the Arcana Heart series. They are twin little sisters to Maori and Tsuzune Kasuga. While they don't possess Arcana, they do assist Maori during battle.

Bio

For the longest of times, the Kasuga Family has been performing blessings, exorcisms, purification's, and other rituals.

Appearance

The twins resemble each other, and also share a resemblance to Maori, the only difference being their hair coloring and slight shape detail. Their straightened, dark blue hair is worn in low ponytails, ending at the hip with a ribbon, matching the ribbons tied on their chest length forelocks. One wears purple ribbons, the other indigo. They both have pointed bangs, but while one has smaller, spread-out bangs, the other has thicker, less bangs. Both girls have big slanted brown eyes.

They are both miko, wearing an outfit matching Maori's.

Personality

Not much is known about the twins, who are shown to be exactly alike in any given situation. They love their sisters and are constantly being watched over by Maori.

Story

Arcana Heart

Koito and Kouta join Maori after they are requested by the Ministry of Elemental Affairs to use their powers and investigate the skies above Tokyo.

Arcana Heart 3

For generations, the Kasuga family has assisted the Celestial Union with demon-related matters, but on occasion, they will tend to the Planar Rifts that periodically pop up around the country.

Etymology

• The names Koito and Kouta means:
  • Koito means "small" (小) (ko) and "yarn, thread, string" (糸) (ito).
  • Kouta means "small song" (小唄).
• The twins' surname Kasuga means "spring" (春) (ka) and "sun, day" (日) (suka/suga).

Trivia

• They are the first set of twins introduced in the series.
• They are some of the youngest in the cast.
• Kouta is the only NPC playable outside of the Arcana Heart series, appearing by herself in Apron of Magic.
